David Hathaway has been ministering in Ukraine since the early 1990s, although his connection with the nation goes back much further. Following the 2014 Russian annexation of Crimea and invasion of the Donbas region, we have been holding National Days of Prayer, supported by all the church denominations. One of the purposes of the event is to strengthen the unity of the churches and the nation, by uniting under the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Humanitarian Aid in Ukraine
May Humanitarian Aid Distribution in Israel
What wonderful and fruitful months we have had in the Holy Land serving the needy Holocaust survivors! David Hathaway Ministry is privileged to be a part of God’s work here. Our team is excited to see Lord’s glory while supporting the Ukrainian and Russian-speaking Jews with spiritual and daily bread. Along with the ordinary tasks, from February our ministry has been supporting Ukrainians fleeing from the war in Ukraine.
Supporting Ukraine
Our ministry in Ukraine continues to provide humanitarian and spiritual relief to the displaced and those who have lived under Russian occupation. Daily we distribute bread, water, sanitary items, medicines and other basic supplies. In addition, our staff provide spiritual and emotional support to people broken-down by war and destruction. Weekly we broadcast the Gospel in both the Ukrainian and Russian languages. And we distribute Bibles.

Stand with Ukraine: Providing Humanitarian and Spiritual Relief
Help us support Ukraine: Working with Churches, Pastors and Chaplains living in Ukraine, our goal is to support internally displaced persons, the vulnerable, the sick, and the wounded still living in the besieged cities of Ukraine. As you read this, our staff continue to risk their lives to assist people living near the front lines. Even during the first weekend of bombing, our staff were distributing Bibles, and praying with people living in Kyiv.

January Humanitarian Aid Distribution in Israel
January was filled with gratitude and joy for all the support we provide for the Russian speaking Jews in Israel. These elderly Holocaust survivors and former prisoners of the ghettos, share their stories, thankful for our prayers and compassion. As usual, we have the privilege and pleasure to visit many of these survivors in their homes. During the New Year celebrations, we added special gifts to the food packages we provide.
December Humanitarian Aid Distribution in Israel
As we visit Russian Holocaust survivors and former prisoners of the Ghettos in their homes, we remind them that they are not alone; that Jesus loves them. We pray with them. Read the Scriptures together. And do their home chores. During December, whilst Israel prepared for rise of the Omicron variant of Covid-19, our staff there assisted and encouraged many of these elderly veterans! Zhanna Goffman, an 84 year old survivor we assist, is now unable to go to church for health reasons. On our visits to her home, our staff pray with her. When they are not able to see her in-person, the phone conversations with her last at least one hour. She is very grateful for the help we provide her, and she always looks forward to our next meetings so that she can pray with us! Through your support, we are able to share the hope and salvation of Jesus with her.
