God Used a Prime Minister to Get Me Out of Soviet Prison

God Used a Prime Minister to Get Me Out of Soviet Prison

When I was in prison for smuggling Bibles into the USSR I was sentenced to what could have been ten years. I was not allowed a Bible, but I reminded the Lord that in Acts 16 when Paul and Silas were imprisoned, they began to praise the Lord, He sent an earthquake and freed them. By faith I asked the Lord to do the same for me – He answered – and opened my prison doors by a miracle!

Faith Tested by Fire: Preaching Christ in War-Torn Ukraine

When I had cancer in my throat many years ago, I said to the Lord, “If You want me to go to the USSR, I want a miracle.” God worked that miracle and I had to leave my home, my security, and go to the USSR!

When I was in prison for smuggling Bibles into Czechoslovakia I was sentenced to what could have been ten years.

Don't be afraid, Trust Jesus

Don't be afraid, Trust Jesus

I know Jesus! I am the living evidence of the Power of God. In 1964 when I had throat cancer, God miraculously healed me: the doctors saw the scar where the Hand of God cut the cancer out of my throat. At the empty tomb, the angel of the Lord said, 'Don't be afraid... Come and see the place where He lay!' I want to tell you, don't be afraid, trust Jesus! Then accept the invitation of Jesus, and experience the miracle of new life for yourself.

What must I do to be saved?

What must I do to be saved?

The most important thing in this life is not physical healing; it is the question of sin and what you do about it. There IS forgiveness, there IS healing from sin, a way into the Kingdom – through the love of God, who sent Jesus Christ His Son to die on a cross, to pay the price of your sin, to forgive you, to break the curse of the devil and set you free.

Living by Faith

Living by Faith

We talk about faith, we have to have faith! I laugh, because my wife used to complain that I jumped into bed. But that was an ‘act of faith’ that the bed wouldn’t collapse! We all have to use an element of faith. If you get in a car and somebody else is driving it, you need faith! Faith in its simplistic sense is part of everyday life! It’s the trust you have. You trust people, you have to trust your doctor, the police, your government – though often they fail us – they are only human. But if faith is trust, faith in God is faith in the unfailing God!

Trusting God Against the Odds – Lessons from Numbers 13 & 14

Trusting God Against the Odds – Lessons from Numbers 13 & 14

An interesting ‘window’ on faith is found in Numbers 13. Moses and the whole of Israel had halted on the borders of the Promised Land after their arduous journey. There they were, within sight of their goal, the fulfilment of all God’s promises within their grasp. Surely this was all that they could ask for, the ultimate reward for the sufferings which they had endured both in the last days in Egypt and in the travelling. This was the reason why God had performed all the outstanding miracles both in Egypt and in the crossing of the Red Sea, in order to give them deliverance and to fulfil His promise to give them this land.

Jesus Heals, Calls, and Sends

Jesus Heals, Calls, and Sends

Matthew 9.18-38; 10.1-4: In the crowd there was only one woman who got what she came for. Touch Jesus today. Be the one person in the crowd who actually gets through. Or will you be at the back of the crowd and go away disappointed. The choice is yours. Of all the hundreds of people around Jesus, many touched Him but only one touched Him in faith. Where are you in that crowd today? In the back, careless, indifferent, or are you determined to reach him. Jesus wants you to touch him. He has something new he wants to put in your life.

When Life Shakes You, Trust Jesus

When Life Shakes You, Trust Jesus

We’re facing a world which is turning upside down. Everything we thought was right is wrong, and what we thought was wrong is right. Incredible, disturbing changes are taking place. BUT ‘let not your heart be troubled!’ What a challenge! These were the words of Jesus – to us – at the end of His ministry. It was the feast of Passover. And Jesus – John 13.1 – knowing that His Hour was come that He would depart from this world to the Father begins to speak to His disciples powerfully. He says, “NOW is the judgment of this world!”

Prayer: Your Lifeline to God

Prayer: Your Lifeline to God

I want to look at the importance of prayer – what effect prayer will have in your life, how we can enact it, live it out, see the results. I want to show you the pitfalls, the difficulties, the fight to fulfil it – and the phenomenal result of the power of faith through prayer in action.

Get Up and Walk: Faith and Forgiveness in Matthew 9

Get Up and Walk: Faith and Forgiveness in Matthew 9

All my life I have recognised that God, through Jesus and the Holy Spirit. HAS POWER ON EARTH! NOT JUST IN HEAVEN! That’s why Jesus could say to the man, “Get up” and the man got up, healed. And the crowds saw this as the demonstration of the Authority and Power God has ON EARTH, and they gave God the Glory!
