There is no distance in prayer. On Friday 22 February, join Christians all around Britain as we pray ‘let Your Will be done in our nation’. Pray at home or in your church: alone or in fellowship with other believers. As we unite for a Day of Prayer and Fasting for our nation, miracles will happen.
I suggest the following special subjects for prayer:
To deliver our nation through this crisis: to heal the wounds which divide us and bring forgiveness.
To bring this Nation back to God by reviving the Church.
That there will be repentance at every level because we have forsaken God and allowed our legislators to legalise every kind of sin: that we have kept silent when as Christians we have accepted teaching in our schools contrary to the Word of God.
That God will deliver us so that His will shall be done through Brexit – whatever the outcome.
Remember that repentance alone is not enough – it must be followed by change.
Pray for deliverance, salvation, unity: that God’s Will be done here on earth, in our nation. ‘I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.’ (1 Timothy 2: 1-4, NKJV)
‘Seek the peace of the city where I have caused you to be carried away captive, and pray to the Lord for it; for in its peace you will have peace… For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.’ (Jeremiah 29:7, 11-13, NKJV)
