This Spring David Hathaway’s Ministry in Ukraine provided humanitarian support to refugees and internally displaced persons who fled their homes because of the ongoing conflict with Russian-backed separatists in East Ukraine. They need special care, practical, spiritual and emotional, as many of them have lost loved ones.
Together with one of our key partners, Philadelphia Church, we distributed 150 food packages. Despite the lockdown and other related pandemic restrictions, we managed to organise the distribution in such a way to allow us to meet and pray with those in need, and even to invite them to the church service. Those who could not receive the aid packages in-person at the church, due to their age or health restrictions, were visited by our staff and received all the help they needed.
Many of the people we have helped since the start of the war in 2014, are now active members of local churches in Kiev.
