David Hathaway has been ministering in Ukraine since the early 1990s, although his connection with the nation goes back much further. Following the 2014 Russian annexation of Crimea and invasion of the Donbas region, we have been holding National Days of Prayer, supported by all the church denominations. One of the purposes of the event is to strengthen the unity of the churches and the nation, by uniting under the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Day of Prayer for Ukraine
On 12th June David Hathaway was in Ukraine, in Lviv, to hold a United Day of Prayer - joined by churches of every denomination all over the nation. Broadcast live on YouTube, up to 3000 attended in Lviv itself, the largest Christian gathering permitted since the war began. We were honoured to have the Governor of the Lviv Region Military Administration taking part in the prayer with us.
