Dear Ministry Partner
Thank you to all my supporting friends. Praise the Lord, we have wonderful news to celebrate! We have just returned from Kazakhstan – hundreds, young and old, found Christ and there were many, many significant healings. We held 5 meetings in the capital Astana, and 5 in the commercial capital Almaty. All 10 meetings were full, with up to 1000 in the larger venues.
Very tiring, as we flew into Astana via Istanbul; then a 2-hour flight to Almaty; and finally, a 17-hour flight home. This with a 5-hour time change and a full programme! What a difference a private jet would make at my age – but costs are prohibitive! Some years ago, a Christian businessman provided a private jet for me to fly direct non-stop to Siberia in 5 hours instead of the 17 hours and 3 connecting flights with scheduled airlines. Thank God for that miracle!
The whole region of Central Asia and the Caucasus is a battle ground. Still being part of the Russian-controlled CIS, but now with the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine, they are seeking to re-align with the west. Georgia and Armenia in the Caucasus are culturally nominally ‘Christian’; Central Asia is culturally Moslem. But the common spiritual threat is from Islamic extremism, atheism, and politically, from Russia.
In the turn of the century, in the early 2000s, we held powerful revival meetings in Kazakhstan with over 5,000 attending, and in Georgia with over 10,000 for three nights! Then came massive persecution for both pastors and people in the whole region: in some cases by threat of war (Armenia), change of government (Georgia), and in all by fear of religious fundamentalism – demonic attacks to stop God’s breakthrough – and prevent my returning.
But – you know me – this is part of my God-given mission field! I don’t give up or stop because of difficulties. God has spoken, ‘I have set before you an open door and no man can shut it!’ On this trip all our time in fellowship and ministry was in preparation for an all-out spiritual breakthrough in Central Asia. Pastors and leaders came from all the surrounding countries to meet with me, both on the 3000-metre snow-covered mountains in prayer, and in the ten powerful meetings we held.
All the leaders believe with me that this is God’s time for a major spiritual breakthrough, the last significant revival before the soon Return of Christ! We have some limited freedom now, but with help from the Holy Spirit we can and will breakthrough into victory! One plan to overcome the restrictions placed on preaching the Gospel in public venues in Central Asia is to rent a large auditorium for a music festival – with talented world-class Christian musicians and invited international guests. We would combine this with prayer for the nations and, of course, my introductions to the Gospel songs… We are working with our friend Oleg, professional saxophonist, born in Kazakhstan, now living in Odessa, to set up a world-class International Christian Orchestra with the possibility of reaching tens of thousands of young people. This is just one idea. Plus, we shall be holding ‘Days of Prayer’, as in Kyiv.
If you look at a map of the region we are called to, it is the centre of the world empire of Daniel’s day – he is still honoured here as the greatest world administrator of all time. Also, the first apostles preached successfully in these territories, from Turkey to the Caucasus to Central Asia and on to India.
God cannot be defeated – my experiences of evangelising even in football stadiums under communism demonstrate that with God, nothing is impossible. This is real spiritual warfare – I like it! God cannot be defeated, but we need real faith to make it happen. As you know, with my two healings from cancer with no medical intervention and my release from that communist prison with Prime Minister Wilson, I learned the hard way that, with strong faith, God will work miracles today! According to my Bible only our lack of faith limits God’s Power. That’s why I still pray for greater faith in my life to enable God to act!
We need to pray positively and powerfully to claim God’s Power. We don’t have to ask God if it is His Will to spread the Gospel using all means possible, it is His command! That’s why I go in Power, I have Divine Authority to preach the Gospel and heal the sick! When I act in faith, God answers in Power, always.
Pray that God will continue to give me strength, this year is becoming very intense as we push open the door into Central Asia. We are doing it by the power of the Holy Spirit, knowing that the Bible says that with God, nothing, absolutely nothing, is impossible. Our job according to Daniel 11:32 is simple: ‘Those who know their God will be strong and do exploits’ – the impossible things. I learned this and put it into practice in 1961 when I was the first person in the world to drive by car all the way from Leeds to Jerusalem – through the communist countries and nations actively hostile to Israel! I learned to obey Scripture and put it into practice. Jesus commands us to not only hear the Word but DO IT!!!
Starting May 4th our programme is hectic, I join Daniel Chand in Trafalgar Square; May 7th I fly to Georgia for intensive evangelism in Tbilisi and the Moslem region of Batumi; then fly to Armenia for 5 days of evangelism, prayer and a big conference in Vanadzor which will reach not only Armenia, but also several surrounding countries. Look on a map to see the nations that surround Armenia and understand the significance! June is also busy. I shall be meeting Cardinal Rys and our key Polish workers here in the UK. Then back into Ukraine for 10 days evangelism including our National Day of Prayer in Kyiv on June 22nd. In July I have a short break but will go to my Prayer Mountain in Austria – to fire me up! Then, ready to go back for more spiritual warfare in August and September, to continue the breakthrough in Kazakhstan with a Youth Conference with about 5000 attending from all Central Asia, followed by prayer for the whole region and evangelism.

Thank you for supporting this vision through prayer and finance. We regularly pray for you, believing that God will bless you and your family. For those who give anonymously, thank you. For those who give by Standing Order, we appreciate these gifts. ‘May God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ give you grace and peace. We keep on praying for you, asking our God to enable you to live a life worthy of His call. May He give you the power to accomplish all the good things your faith prompts you to do. Then the Name of our Lord Jesus will be honoured because of the way you live, and you will be honoured along with Him. This is all made possible because of the grace of our God and Lord, Jesus Christ.’ (2 Thessalonians 1, NLT)
