For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. (Mark 11:23)
How do healing miracles happen?
How do healing miracles happen? I am not a healer; God forbid, I don’t want to be a healer. I don’t want people to come to me. God is the healer! We are healed through the power God has placed in the Name of Jesus. That is why Jesus could say to His disciples, ‘If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can move mountains.’ With a little faith you can cast out demons; you can heal the sick; you can break the curse of the devil; you can get rid of sin; you can break the curse of drugs and alcohol; you can mend broken marriages; you can change broken lives; heal broken bodies; everything that the devil has done in this world, everything that the devil has done in your life, God by a miracle, can deliver you from. He can rescue you. He can change your life.
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God. (Ephesians 2:8)
How does this happen? When you have that tiny little faith. But what is faith? How can you get that little seed? It is not faith in me, but faith in Jesus. It is trusting Him. Believing Him. Who is He? Who is Jesus? I want to declare tonight, my Jesus, your Jesus, the Jesus of the Bible, He is the greatest, the most powerful, the most wonderful and glorious, He is the Son of God. There is nothing impossible with Him. Hallelujah!
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. (Romans 10:13)
I know Jesus answers prayer. If you will call upon Him, all you have to do is call on the Name of the Lord; and if you will call on Him in faith, you can do two things: firstly, He will give you power over sin. And the good news is this, every sin can be forgiven now. Secondly, the power of sin in your life can be broken so that you will never go back to your sin. The power of the devil, and the power of sin in your life can be broken. The power of sickness can be broken.
If you call upon Him, if you call on the Name of the Lord, broken bones can be mended; cancers can be healed.
God will work miracles of healing!
Then they came to Jericho. As Jesus and his disciples, together with a large crowd, were leaving the city, a blind man, Bartimaeus (which means ‘son of Timaeus’), was sitting by the roadside begging. When he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to shout, ‘Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!’
Many rebuked him and told him to be quiet, but he shouted all the more, ‘Son of David, have mercy on me!’
Jesus stopped and said, ‘Call him.’
So they called to the blind man, ‘Cheer up! On your feet! He’s calling you.’ Throwing his cloak aside, he jumped to his feet and came to Jesus.
‘What do you want me to do for you?’ Jesus asked him.
The blind man said, ‘Rabbi, I want to see.’
‘Go,’ said Jesus, ‘your faith has healed you.’ Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus along the road. (Mark 10:46-52)
God will work miracles of healing. Why do I say that? Why is it going to be different for you this time? I know who Jesus is. I’ve known Him a long time, and I know He cannot fail. This man in the Bible really believed. He was saying to Jesus, “I’m blind; help me!”
Why did he cry for help? He only cried for help because He believed that Jesus will deliver him, that Jesus could set him free, that Jesus could open his eyes. The people accusingly asked, “Why are you shouting?” They tried to quiet him and shut him up. They were in effect saying, ‘shut up, stop calling, Jesus isn’t interested in you. The Bible says that the more they tried to quiet him, the more he cried, ‘Jesus I know who You are; You can help me; You are the only One; help me Jesus; heal me Jesus; open my eyes Jesus; I know You have power; You are the Son of God; You are the Son of David; deliver me!’
Jesus stopped. The interesting thing is this, He said, “Bring the man to Me.” I want to tell you, when you are in distress, when you have your problems, when nobody else can help you, when there is nowhere else for you to go, if you will cry out to Jesus, if you will call upon the Name of the Lord, Jesus will answer you. He will stop. He will call you to come to Him.
