Declaring the Glory of Jesus

I want to declare the glory of Jesus. God has given Him the Name which is above every name; it is through faith in the Name of Jesus we are saved, healed and delivered. If you are in need of a miracle, faith in Jesus’ Name will work wonders in your midst.

Now Peter and John went up together to the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour. And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms from those who entered the temple… [Peter] took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. So he, leaping up, stood and walked and entered the temple with them - walking, leaping, and praising God. (Acts 3:1-8, NKJV)

I want you to understand, the ongoing ministry of Jesus through us, is to people like this. Throughout the Gospels we read that the ones He ministered to were not the religious or self-righteous, but the sinners, those who needed His healing touch. Jesus came to seek and save the lost.

Can you understand the joy this man in the story felt? After 40 years he is healed. But there is another miracle. If you read a little further in this chapter, Peter began to speak to the people:

“Men of Israel, why do you marvel at this? Or why look so intently at us, as though by our own power or godliness we had made this man walk? The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our fathers, glorified His Servant Jesus… . And His Name, through faith in His Name, has made this man strong, whom you see and know. Yes, the faith which comes through Him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all. (Acts 3: 12-13, 16, NKJV)

God has exalted Jesus; given Him a Name which is above every name, that at the Name of Jesus every knee must bow: sickness must bow to Jesus; cancer must bow to Jesus; depression must bow to Jesus. Whatever situation you are facing today must bow to Jesus! I want to declare the glory and Power of Jesus over every hindrance in your life!

The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me

Jesus went to Nazareth, where He grew up, He went to the synagogue on the Sabbath, as was His custom, and stood up to read the Scriptures. The scroll of the prophet Isaiah was handed to Him, and He unrolled the scroll to the place where it says: The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favour. Then Jesus rolled up the scroll, gave it to the attendant and sat down. He spoke to the saying, “Today this Scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.” (Luke 4:16-21)

And in Isaiah 53: He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquity, and by His stripes we are healed.

God glorified Jesus

Caiaphas the High Priest said, “It is expedient that one man should die for the benefit of many”; even the High Priest, in that Second Temple, the High Priest of Herod’s Temple in Jerusalem, that Jew above all Jews, that Holy Jew, that so-called cleansed Jew, the High Priest said it is written that one man shall take away the sin of the world. What a miracle. He was the first to recognise that Jesus was the perfect sin offering.

Under the rules of the temple they had to continually make sacrifices, because one sacrifice was not enough. But the Bible says that Jesus died once; He died once to forgive the sin of the world and to set us free. What a miracle. Only God can forgive sin. And through this, Jesus is glorified.

Jesus died so we could be healed

Do you want to be healed? First you must ask God’s forgiveness for every sin: “O God we have sinned. But we believe Christ died for our sin to set us free. O God forgive us in Jesus Name.”

Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. (James 5:14-15, NKJV)

In the Name of Jesus, I command your sickness to go. By the Power of the Name of Jesus, I command the curse to be broken. I command every sickness to come out. I command every disease to be healed, right now in Jesus Name. Sickness go! Devil go! Pain go! Blindness go! Cancer go! Every disease, every sickness, come out now by the Power of Jesus Name! I set you free in the Name of Jesus. Be healed in Jesus Name. Amen.
