God loves you! He’s a God of forgiveness. He doesn’t just have the power to change your life for the better, but He has the desire to help you. When Jesus was asked by the leper, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean”, Jesus responded, “I am willing, be clean.”
Jesus was sleeping at the back of the boat with His head on a cushion. The disciples woke Him up, shouting, “Teacher, don’t You care that we’re going to drown?”
When Jesus woke up, He rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Silence! Be still!” Suddenly the wind stopped, and there was a great calm. (Mark 4:38-39)
Don’t You care?
The disciples were afraid because they thought they were going to die. They said, “Lord, don’t You care about us?” - We all ask that question at some point in our lives: ‘Don’t You care about us?’ The disciples were exactly the same as you and me. God does care. God does know your circumstances. God does know your life. And God is concerned enough to change it for the better.
The hairs on your head are numbered
When they were in the ship and the storm came, who was in the boat with them? Jesus! So many people think that God is just in heaven, that He is distant and uninterested in our lives. But that couldn’t be further from the truth. The Bible says that the very hairs on our head are numbered, that He knew you before you were formed in your mother’s womb.
God is concerned about every one of us. He is concerned about the practical things in your life. And He demonstrated it. When the disciples came to Him and said we are all going to drown, Jesus rebuked the wind and the waves and there was a great calm. I want to ask you this question: ‘Can you trust God with your ordinary life?’
God works miracles!
When the disciples saw the power Jesus had here on earth, they marvelled saying, “What manner of Man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey Him!” People today are amazed. The reason I go to Russia, Ukraine, Israel, is to tell people about Jesus. I want to demonstrate that the Jesus of the Bible is alive and that He can actually change the very circumstances in which we live.
I’ve seen so many miracles: often we assume that miracles are just confined to healing, but my God works miracles in every area of our lives. I know miracles happen when I pray. It is no different from knowing that every morning the sun will get out of bed and show itself at my window. God cares about you; He loves you; He will work miracles in your life when you come to Him in faith.
He will respond to us as surely as the arrival of dawn - Hosea 6:3
