Jesus came for you

You are a child of God; made in His image. You carry His very presence wherever you go. In the story of blind Bartimaeus, we know one very significant thing about him, he was the son of Timaeus. Bartimaeus carried his father's name. Likewise, I know who your Father is, you are a child of God. I am a child of God. Receive His love today.

Now they came to Jericho. As He went out of Jericho with His disciples and a great multitude, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the side of the road begging. And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”

Then many warned him to be quiet; but he cried out all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”

So Jesus stood still and commanded him to be called.

Then they called the blind man, saying to him, “Be of good cheer. Rise, He is calling you.”

And throwing aside his garment, he rose and came to Jesus.

So Jesus answered and said to him, “What do you want Me to do for you?”

The blind man said to Him, “Rabboni, that I may receive my sight.”

Then Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your faith has made you well.” And immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus on the road. (Mark 10:46-52, NKJV)

There are so many people with problems. People with sickness. But yet sickness is not always the biggest issue. We all have problems in our lives, in our families. We live in a world of pain and trouble. Don’t let fear of people keep you from Jesus. He is calling the rich and the poor, the influential and the neglected. He calls the needy. He is calling for you. He wants to come into your life. He wants to cover you with His love. He wants to forgive every sin. He wants to teach you forgiveness. He wants to mend broken hearts and lives.

Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. (Revelation 3:20, NKJV)

The Bible teaches, If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us (1 John 1:8). If you say, ‘Oh I’ve never sinned, I’m perfect,’ well men, I would ask your wife. And the women are not perfect either, I would ask your husband. Children, I would like to ask your parents, they will tell me the truth. The Bible says we have all sinned, we are all like sheep, we have gone away from God. But God saw our sin - He did not condemn us, but loved us enough to forgive us. God sent His Son, not to be an image in a picture, not to be a cross around a girl’s neck, He came because He loved you, to forgive your sin.

In the story about blind Bartimaeus, there is one thing we know about him other than he was blind, he had a father who was called Timaeus. I have a Father, and His Name is Jehovah, the Most High God. I know your Father’s Name, you are the sons and the daughters of God. And because you have gone away from Him, He sent His Son to bring you home, back into the Kingdom of God. He wants to bring you forgiveness. All you have to do is call upon His Name; His Name is Jesus. Call upon Him. Say, ‘Jesus, help me.’ And in that moment He will forgive you.
