Dear Friends and Prayer Partners
I want to thank all of you for your support over so many years. Without your prayer and financial gifts we could never have achieved so much as we have done. I remember in the early 1990s when we went to Siberia for 3 months with 400 people, the charity was not fully established and registered, yet our budget to provide transport, food and accommodation as well as stadium costs for the 3-month period was over £2 million! When I began to organise we had virtually no money at all! But God provided and we finished without any debt!
As I sign off this letter, I am leaving for Kiev to plan next year. I am expecting to meet with the Representative of the Prime Minister of Ukraine who is totally sympathetic to our work, and I believe will support our evangelism at the highest level. Then two days after my return I will be in Rome to meet with the men in the Vatican who can help promote our evangelism in Poland next year; my host will be Metropolitan Archbishop Rys whom I met in Lodz last month (more on this below). Then almost immediately, from 30 September to 11 October, I shall be in Central Asia – evangelising! I told you last year that God was opening an incredible door for evangelism in Asia: this will now take place. The Covid pandemic prevented us from going in 2020, but the miracle is, God, who is in control of timing, foreknew that this year, 2021, is absolutely critical now that Afghanistan has fallen to the Taliban: the two countries where I shall be are directly on the northern border of Afghanistan! We still have the government permission, given last year, to evangelise in a stadium in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan starting October 1st. From there we go on to Uzbekistan, without coming home, as time is of the essence. We are evangelising in small and large halls every day, and also calling together the spiritual leaders from the whole region, including Afghanistan, for prayer to ask God to deliver the nations and individual Christians from what is becoming a murderous enemy. The possibilities for the Gospel are enormous: both Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan are flooded with refugees, and there is a fear of the Taliban. They are desperate for us to come; we are pouring money in as fast as you send it to make this as big as possible. We have the opportunity of a lifetime, exactly as the Lord showed me when He first told me to go to Central Asia two years ago. I am asking you to give sacrificially.
Look how great God’s timing is – spot on – last year there was no urgency, but now in Central Asia they are desperate – only God can save them through the Power of Jesus’ Name! This could be as critical as 30 years ago when God sent me to Siberia – we had only a window of opportunity to go in as we did – but look at the revival which came when we went by faith! Professor Diskin, advisor to Putin, said publicly on TV in 2017 that only the preaching of the Gospel in the 1990s saved Russia from chaos! Now the Power of the Gospel, with mighty miracles, can transform Central Asia! The Gospel is salt and light!
Poland in August – in preparation for large scale evangelism in 2022 – was a breakthrough. The Catholic Monastery in Lodz where I preached Christ, in person, and online on their Catholic YouTube channel (200,000 subscribers), was filled with Charismatic Catholic believers. I also recorded several interviews for Polish secular TV, as well as a very long, exciting interview for the Polish Catholic YouTube Channel. I was the first-ever Protestant to be invited to evangelise in the main square in Krakow, during a March for Jesus through the town, though our numbers were restricted by the local authority because of Covid.
Archbishop Rys and others are inviting me back to speak to many thousands next year – God has laid a foundation for the salvation of Poland! And, as a result of my visit this summer, God has opened a door for me to bring Jesus into the Vatican this month, with Archbishop Rys as my host; he wants to spend time with me to learn more about the faith that I have in Jesus! I shall not be in a hotel, but will spend all my time, sleeping and eating, at the very centre of the Vatican! This is not a brief meeting and short greeting, but four days living with key people in the Vatican. Only God knows why He planned this – He has a purpose to fulfill. I do not need criticism, but the Power of the Holy Spirit to give me wisdom and a powerful anointing that will shake the system and change it. They will not change me, but God will change those whose hearts are open and whom He has called – by the Power of the Holy Spirit. Your prayerful response will make this happen!
All this work outlined above needs to be financed at a time when our income has dropped by about a third. Yet an investment of £2million 30 years ago enabled a revival in Siberia which changed Russia! If I had the funds, I would gladly spend £20 million to challenge militant Islam and change Central Asia!
Yes, I shall probably put my life on the line – but I did that 50 years ago in the Soviet Union. And long ago, aged 15, I surrendered my life – everything – to Jesus. So everything is in His Hands. When I was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2002/3, I said to the Lord, “I’m over 70 so if You don’t need me anymore, take me home quickly! But if You still have a work for me to do, heal me without any medical intervention!” He answered clearly, the impossible happened, and the lung cancer came out of my mouth while I was staying in Germany, in front of several witnesses!
We are living in strange, unusual times. Covid has not gone away and the outcome of the financial cost both to the economy and the NHS is impossible to calculate. The Biblical signs of the ending of the age and the return of Jesus as Messiah to Israel are clear to me. This year alone, climate change and extreme weather, storms, floods, earthquakes, wars and insurgencies in several countries, mass migration of many millions, and political uncertainty not only here in the UK, but with elections in France and Germany, as well as political change in Israel…
…All that I know is that time is short, and the harvest fields are white – it is now time for the reaper more than for the sower. The Bible speaks of a time when the reaper will overtake the sower – that’s why I am praying desperately that God will take the limits off our finances – NOW!
