By the time you read this I will be in Kyiv, leading thousands in prayer for God to deliver their nation. No, I am not afraid to go into what is a war zone. I lived in London as a boy in the 1940s when Hitler was destroying London during the ‘Blitz’ – I was not praying for safety, but that God would bring Revival to London! …Reading the Bible during my teenage years I saw the challenge, what was the purpose of the Church and of every born-again believer: ‘Preach the Gospel, heal the sick.’ That’s what I have done for the last 74 years – it’s what I understand ‘following Jesus’ means.

Our prayers are with you for the Lord’s blessing on your life during the coming year. Times are difficult. The danger of the two wars in Ukraine and Israel escalating, and political uncertainty in Europe, Britain and especially America, make for an uncertain future. Thank God, Jesus is coming back to take over the government of the world! Isaiah 9 is clear, ‘The Government shall be on HIS shoulders’!

My best greetings to you all and to your families this Christmas. May it be a time of renewal and blessing. In a world of uncertainty, we enter the New Year with Christ. I have just returned from our day of prayer in Essen, Germany. The response was tremendously encouraging, especially as the vision they have is to work with all three generations. Since my last newsletter I can report that we had a powerful day of prayer in Armenia in October. 3000 Pastors and Leaders attended.

Be encouraged, God is at work! I am experiencing it in my life even more as I get older! There is always opposition, but significantly, I have always found that, if Satan attacks, it means that something big is about to happen! We need your support both in prayer and with finance more this year than ever. We are all living in a difficult time economically, but the seed which you sow will reap an even larger harvest in eternity because God Himself will reward you!

We have started this year at full speed. I left for Ukraine on Tuesday January 3rd. The only way is to fly to Poland, then go by car across the Polish and Ukrainian borders, then into Lviv. The first day was spent being shown how, for hundreds of years, Ukraine has had an independent identity from Russia, and has every reason to fight to be free from Russian intervention and control. In this New Year we are expecting to do more than in previous years – which means we need your support more than ever! To fulfil all that God has put in my heart this year, we will need your prayer support – and almost double our financial income.

The whole world is in crisis. Only prayer-based evangelism can save Britain and the world. Time is short – we need real urgent prayer. As I write I’m about to leave for ministry in Georgia where I will be from November 14th to 21st for three days’ evangelism in the National Indoor Basketball Stadium, TV interviews and ministry in a supporting church.

We have only just received news that our beloved Queen has died. God has blessed us as a nation more than any other nation in the world by giving us a godly Christian Queen who both lived and testified to her faith for 70 years and was a rock in a troubled land despite many personal troubles. What an incredible miracle!

Thank you for your support both in prayer and giving during this challenging time. I praise God for you, without whom our evangelism would not be possible! We are living through a very difficult period, and I am deeply conscious of the many problems facing us all. My heart and my prayers are with you. Let us keep on praying in Faith that God will answer – prayer changes things – and changes us. Paul reminds us to pray without ceasing. To me prayer is part of my daily conversation with the Lord.

We are entering the most troubling time since the end of the Cold War. But it is significant that when, in 1988, I prophesied the collapse of the former Soviet Union and the Iron Curtain, I also prophesied that this would be a short window before a new ‘curtain’ would fall – spiritual, political, and military! This is now being fulfilled and is why I evangelised so massively and effectively in the last 30 years and more.

I want to pray for you that you would experience God’s peace this Christmas. I am very aware that Christmas is hard for those who are lonely, bereaved, the sick, and for those who are separated from their families for whatever reason. I rejoice that my youngest daughter works with me in the ministry, but I also have a daughter who lives in Australia, and because of Covid restrictions, she has been unable to fly back to the UK, so I have not seen her in a long time. I am also concerned for the sick, that they would receive a healing touch from Jesus.

We are living in strange, unusual times. Covid has not gone away and the outcome of the financial cost both to the economy and the NHS is impossible to calculate. The Biblical signs of the ending of the age and the return of Jesus as Messiah to Israel are clear to me. This year alone, climate change and extreme weather, storms, floods, earthquakes, wars and insurgencies in several countries, mass migration of many millions, and political uncertainty not only here in the UK, but with elections in France and Germany, as well as political change in Israel…

…All that I know is that time is short, and the harvest fields are white – it is now time for the reaper more than for the sower. The Bible speaks of a time when the reaper will overtake the sower – that’s why I am praying desperately that God will take the limits off our finances – NOW!

Pray for the National Day of Prayer for Ukraine on Saturday June 12th. We have just received the final report from the Bishops’ Organising Committee in Kiev. We expect everything to go ahead, the Ukraine government have given us special privilege in that the Covid restrictions will not apply to us on that day. The government regard this as priority – the only government in Europe to encourage and enable this National Day of Prayer.

We must be aware that with the rise of Covid-19 and the re-imposition of lockdown measures, not only here in the UK but worldwide, this so called ‘new normality’ will not improve over the next six months. This means that we are going to experience one year of strict control until Spring 2021, and if Australia is an example, it will be until 2022. Unless God works a miracle! The good news is that our ministry in the UK continues! It is in my heart to encourage prayer!

We’re now in a time which none of us had anticipated – the government telling us how to operate our churches and our worship! Who could have imagined that a UK government could cancel Christmas, or that Israel would close its borders and cancel the Jewish New Year? However, our ministry is particularly strong In Israel where the families of the Holocaust survivors need your help more than ever because of a total lockdown since the recent increase of the Covid virus. Our teams of volunteers supply food and other necessities and use this as a means of ministry and bringing the Gospel into people’s homes, opening the hearts of non-religious Jews to the reality of the message of the Gospel of their Messiah!

I am not afraid of the Covid-19 virus, nor am I afraid of death. I have put my life in God’s Hands knowing that I am safe and, as the Bible says, ‘a thousand shall fall at thy side and 10 thousand at thy right hand but it will not come nigh thee’. I claimed the ‘Blood on my doorpost’, for myself, my family and my staff! This means that together with all our Eurovision staff here and overseas we are carrying on working as much as possible. In fact, we are taking advantage of every new opportunity.
