Dear Friends and Prayer Partners
The news of what is happening in the whole world is disturbing! Wars and rumours of wars, earthquakes, extreme weather, economic collapse and fears for the future. As more problems come almost daily it is like watching the prophecies of the Bible being literally fulfilled!
But this is good news! Jesus is coming back – and very soon! Remember that, as explained in the letter to the Thessalonians, we are taken out first when the Holy Spirit is removed, and only then will the man of Sin be revealed and all hell let loose. Now is the FINAL harvest – first, BEFORE we are taken. That’s why I am so desperate to reach the un-reached – why I am concentrating on areas controlled by Islam in Central Asia. I will be talking about and discussing this with you in my 75th Anniversary Celebrations.
Having just returned from Ukraine, I can now reveal that we stayed in Slovyansk which was taken and devastated by Russian troops back in 2014 before being re-taken by Ukraine – but it still under fire, all these 11 years later. So, we witnessed first-hand what the Russians did – and are doing. On arrival we went to the frontline to evangelise, comfort and help people still living in their shattered homes but who have had no water or electric power for 3 years since the invasion in 2022. Supported by a worship group and military chaplains, I preached JESUS, then gave them food and comfort.
We were taken to our accommodation in Sviatohirsk for the four nights we would be there – we were told it was safer than in Slovyansk. It was absolutely dark upon arrival. Only in the light of the next morning did we discover the full destruction all around us – ours was the only house still standing and partly repaired! This place had been occupied and destroyed at the beginning of the 2022 invasion!
Every day we were meeting and witnessing to military commanders and people still living in the ruins of their homes in the grey zone close to the frontline. We took food and brought them Jesus. All, including the military, were desperate for the comfort of our Gospel. Although under martial law no more than a small group of military commanders are allowed to gather in one place, more than 40 met me under cover and I spoke to them for more than 40 minutes. They were the commanders of the 26th Artillery Brigade of Ukraine, responsible for the defence of this whole section of the frontline!
On the Sunday, I spoke in the evangelical Pentecostal church. Under martial law it is not allowed for more than 10 people to meet in any one place, but the pastor holds his Sunday services anyway, and they all know me in Ukraine! More than 500 packed the church building for a full 3-hour service. I preached the Gospel, many unsaved repented; I prayed for the sick and many were healed.
After the service I asked to be taken as close as possible to the frontline. After all, I came here to fight a spiritual battle and command Satan and his army to leave Ukraine. It is God who has declared war on the devil, and I will not let Satan destroy the work of God in Ukraine. I prayed the covering of the Blood of Jesus over the land, the defeat of the invading Russian army, and to cast the demons out of Putin!
I was not alone; as an official military chaplain in Ukraine myself, I came here with the local military chaplains who protected me. They gave me a bullet-proof vest and helmet to protect me from the drones overhead and, yes, we could hear the sound of the guns nearby and the air raid warnings. They asked me if I had any fear – I said I fear no man, war or Putin, my only fear is to disobey God!
I then went back to the Church for the evening service which was a powerful prayer meeting with the church again almost full. As I waited to lead prayer, the Lord suddenly laid on my heart from 2 Kings 6, where the city of Dothan was surrounded by the Syrian Army: Elisha’s servant saw the Syrian army and was in fear, but Elisha prayed God would ‘open his eyes’ and his servant saw all the army of the Lord with horses and chariots, far greater than the Syrian Army. Elisha then prayed for God to blind the eyes of the Syrian Army, I then challenged the Ukrainians to call on God to ‘blind the eyes of the Russian army’, by cutting connection with their drones in the sky which are their ‘eyes’ to kill Ukrainians.
Please pray for me, although I am celebrating 75 years of ministry, I am launching out into the future until the Lord Comes! As I write, I am preparing to spend Easter evangelising Moslems in Kazakhstan – April 16-21. Then with a brief break, on to Georgia evangelising Moslems from May 2-10, arriving home just in time for the 75th Anniversary Conference in Harrogate on May 17. This conference is now fully booked, unless there are last-minute cancellations.
We still have room for our Impartation Service in London, July 12. We have had to change the date from June 21 as it clashed with meetings organised by Franklin Graham, so the new dates are July 12, still in the Emmanuel Centre, Marsham St, London. I shall arrive back from Kyiv just days before this – full of the Holy Ghost and Power to see the Power fall in London. I know, because my testimony is of receiving an incredible anointing from God, which has been demonstrated by incredible miracles for 75 years, something not seen since the days of the Bible! I grew up with George Jeffreys and was dedicated by him as a baby. I knew the miracles in his and in Smith Wigglesworth’s lives. All my life, I have believed there is MORE Power available from God than anything yet seen on earth. I sense there is an even GREATER Power available – which Joel calls the Latter Rain. But this would be GREATER than the outpouring of the Holy Spirit at the beginning of the 20th Century, which everyone assumed WAS the Latter Rain. My testimony is of UNLIMITED POWER from a God who is Himself a source of EXPANDING POWER! I want to inspire you with an experimental experience. My life testimony proves that this is not just ‘words of hope’, but a life demonstrating that it works.
