As you have believed

Our God answers prayer - and He works miracles. I have seen every kind of miracle you can imagine: people born blind, God opens their eyes; broken backs are mended; cancers are healed; cripples get out of wheelchairs. - I’ve seen miracles that are not healing: financial provision; my own miraculous release from prison, and many others besides. I know these miracles will happen when I pray; I don’t have any question about it. It’s no different from knowing that every morning the sun will get out of bed and show itself at my window. God works miracles every day - but it’s for us to believe that He can, and will, in our lives. - It is in accordance to our faith.

When Jesus departed from there, two blind men followed Him, crying out and saying, “Son of David, have mercy on us!” And when He had come into the house, the blind men came to Him. And Jesus said to them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” They said to Him, “Yes, Lord.” Then He touched their eyes, saying, “According to your faith let it be to you.” (Matthew 9:27-29, NKJV)

Jesus asked them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” And they responded, “Yes Lord.” He touched their eyes and said, “According to your faith let it be to you.” I want to give you a challenge: I believe in a God of miracles. Most people either don’t believe in them, or they think miracles are extremely difficult. But I believe miracles can, and do, happen every day. But they happen in accordance to our faith.

Just say “Yes” to God

Here we have a simple story. Two blind men heard about Jesus, and so they followed Him. Jesus knew they were blind. Nobody had to tell Jesus that these men needed a miracle. But He turned to them and said, “Do you believe I am able to do this?” They replied, “Yes.” It is so easy to say yes to Jesus. I want to show you how easy it really is. Your ‘Yes’ activates the Power of God in your life.

For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “Yes!” And through Christ, our “Amen” (which means “Yes”) ascends to God for His glory. (2 Corinthians 1:20, NLT)

Healed of cancer!

When I travel around the world I see a lot of miracles, but I have also experienced miracles in my own life too. In December 2002, as part of the process of getting a resident’s permit in Ukraine, in order to prove I did not have TB which was endemic out there, I had to have a lung X-ray. But the doctors called me back, took more X-rays, and then told me I had a shadow on my lung and that I had pneumonia.

Back in England I was treated with antibiotics, but after two courses of treatment I went again for X-rays and the patch on my lung was bigger. The doctors became extremely worried, they didn’t want me to travel overseas and they set up exhaustive tests in a hurry. They said bluntly, ‘It’s not pneumonia, you have lung cancer.’

Only a few months later, after much prayer, I was back in the hospital, tubes down my lung for an examination – but God had already given me the answer, I knew it was gone. The doctors looked at me in amazement and said, ‘You have no cancer!’

I didn’t go to a healing evangelist, I went to the Word of God and God completely healed me – no operation, no treatment – I only had God and the Bible, and that’s all I needed to confound the doctors. They were shocked, they didn’t believe God. But I do, I believe in a God of power, of miracles!

I know that God works miracles!

Our God answers prayer - and He works miracles! I have seen every kind of miracle you can imagine: people born blind, God opens their eyes; broken backs are mended; cancers are healed; cripples get out of wheelchairs. - I’ve seen miracles which are not healing: financial provision; my own miraculous release from prison, and many others besides. I know these miracles will happen when I pray; I don’t have any question about it. It is not different from knowing that every morning the sun will get out of bed and show itself at my window. God works miracles every day - but it is for us to believe that He can, and will, in our lives.

He will respond to us as surely as the arrival of dawn. (Hosea 6:3, NLT)

I love to see God heal people that the doctors cannot help! To me, the real miracles of healing are when doctors have tried to heal and failed, then God takes over and by a miracle does what the most expert of doctors cannot do. I love to tell the story of the 22 year old girl in Australia who was born with a spinal deformity and instantly grew 10 cm taller. You see, with God, nothing is impossible!

God can work a miracle in your life today!

I believe the Bible; and this is what I read in the Bible. Everywhere that Jesus went, He worked miracles. If you read the four Gospels, on almost every page another miracle is recorded, followed by another miracle. The Apostle John wrote of Jesus, ‘And there are also many other things that Jesus did, which if they were written one by one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that would be written.’ (John 21:25, NKJV.) God can work a miracle in your life today - but it is in accordance to your faith.
