The importance of the Word of God

Hebrews Bible Study Chapter 13. 'Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and for ever. Do not be carried away by all kinds of strange teachings. Effectiveness of a powerful faith

Faith has been the motivation behind my life! Right from the beginning I’ve wanted to please God. When I received the Holy Spirit aged 15, I knew 1 Corinthians 12 says there are nine gifts, and Paul says choose, covet the best gifts… I can pray in tongues ‘more than anybody’, I can prophesy. But the one gift I wanted more than any other was the gift of faith.

Standing on the Promises of God

If you can believe just one of God’s Promises, if you can believe even just part of God’s Word – then I challenge you to believe the whole! I believe the Bible from cover to cover, I believe it is the inspired Word of God. I’m challenging you to have that confidence that God CANNOT and WILL NOT and DOES NOT FAIL! There’s an old song, ‘Standing on the Promises of God’! That’s what we have to do! Don’t go back to ‘Egypt’, don’t go back to the strength of the horses and the chariots – let’s stand absolutely firm on the Authority and Power of God’s Promises! And if you are going to believe just one, why not believe them all?

Lord, Teach me how to pray

I want to teach you the greatest lesson in answered prayer. Our God is a prayer-answering God. Don't take no for an answer, keep on asking, God will give you what you need. That applies to sickness, to every problem in your life. Jesus said, "I say to you, ask, and it will be given, seek and you will find, knock and it will be opened." Don't take no for an answer. Persist. Keep on calling on God. He will answer!

If you are sick, or crippled, in despair, alone, whoever you are, wherever you are - God will hear you, God will answer our prayer. "I love the Lord, because He has heard my voice and my supplications. Because He has inclined His ear to me, therefore I will call upon Him as long as I live." We are saved to serve! God didn't call me as a preacher, evangelist or pastor, He called me to serve Him, to give my life in service.
