Faith

The Kingdom of God is in Power

The Kingdom of God is in Power

The Apostle Paul says in 1 Corinthians 4.19-20, “I will come to you shortly, if the Lord wills – and I will know, not the speech of those who are puffed up, but the Power! For the Kingdom of God is not in words but in Power!” That’s an amazing statement! Paul is saying, the Kingdom of God is not ‘words’, but ACTION! It’s so easy to speak. It’s not so easy to act. I want you to become people of action, who put their faith into practice.

Prayer is not rocket science

Prayer is not rocket science

I want to teach you how to pray and see miracles in your life. Romans 8 says, ‘When we know not what to pray for as we ought, the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us.’ Simply talk to God as you would a friend. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done. Miracles happen by the simple way in which we relate and communicate with Him. God is present, He’s the unseen guest, the silent listener to every conversation. I know God is there, He is listening. Before we ask, He’s already heard everything; He knows what is in our heart, what we think, what we want, what we need, but He wants us to put it into words. Lessons from 70 years of ministry: 'For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance.' (Part 17)

There is a solution to every problem

There is a solution to every problem

There is a solution! Whatever situation you are facing today, God will use it for His Glory. In John 9, as Jesus passed by, He saw a man who was blind from birth. ‘And His disciples asked Him, saying, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?” Jesus answered, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but that the works of God should be revealed in him.’ Doubt is one of the enemy’s biggest weapons against the believer: in the Old Testament he said to Eve, “Did God say…?” The devil destroys faith by replacing absolute trust with doubt; this is still the biggest problem in people’s lives today. Faith only exists through trust in God and His Word. Lessons from 70 years of ministry: 'For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance.' (Part 16)

How great is our God

How great is our God

How great is our God! Sometimes we forget who our God really is: He made the heavens and the earth by His great power and outstretched arm; nothing is too difficult for Him! So much of Scripture, both in Old and New Testament, is based on God as the Creator. His greatness is evidenced by creation! The same God who created the heavens and the earth is fighting your battles. Just as He performed signs and wonders in delivering Israel from Egypt, so He will work miracles in your life. (Jeremiah 32:17-20.)

Faith moves mountains: Three keys to receiving a miracle

Faith moves mountains: Three keys to receiving a miracle

When there is a crisis in our lives our only hope is Christ. You - we - have to get an answer from God! When Jesus was on earth, people asked Him direct for what they wanted. We have to do the same, but through prayer. I want to teach you three keys to receive a miracle: Prayer, Faith and Relationship.

Lord, Teach me how to pray

Lord, Teach me how to pray

I want to teach you the greatest lesson in answered prayer. Our God is a prayer-answering God. Don't take no for an answer, keep on asking, God will give you what you need. That applies to sickness, to every problem in your life. Jesus said, "I say to you, ask, and it will be given, seek and you will find, knock and it will be opened." Don't take no for an answer. Persist. Keep on calling on God. He will answer!

If you are sick, or crippled, in despair, alone, whoever you are, wherever you are - God will hear you, God will answer our prayer. "I love the Lord, because He has heard my voice and my supplications. Because He has inclined His ear to me, therefore I will call upon Him as long as I live." (Psalm 116) Lessons from 70 years of ministry: 'For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance.' (Part 15)

The Power of Jesus to calm storms

The Power of Jesus to calm storms

Most of us experience some powerful storms in our lives. That is why we need the reality of the Man who can conquer them. Let me challenge you: what kind of Man is Jesus? Wherever I go, He’s in the boat. I’d rather be in a ‘storm’ with Jesus than living in calm and peace without Him. I want you to know this real Jesus in your life. Lessons from 70 years of ministry: 'For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance.' (Part 13)

In the midst of tribulation

In the midst of tribulation

Where is God when we are in the midst of tribulation? - He is right there with us, a very present help in our times of trouble. It is easy to feel God's presence when we are on the mountain top, celebrating His goodness; but the Scripture implies that whilst He is present in our good times, He is very present in our distress. Some years ago I was invited to speak at a conference. The theme was how we can know God, how we can come into His presence. I took as my Scripture Deuteronomy 4.29, 'If from where you are you shall seek the Lord Your God you shall find Him'. You will find God when you are in tribulation, when all the problems of life have come on you. God will use the very circumstances you are in to work a miracle in a demonstration of His Power.

Seeing beyond the impossible!

Seeing beyond the impossible!

We need to have a clear vision of God's plan and purposes. Something tangible. The Bible instructs us to write it down and make it plain to read. All my life I've been working towards a goal; something I see in my spirit. As I look back over my life and ministry, I see what God has done, and because of this, I have an absolute confidence that God is going to continue to lead and direct my steps.

The healing touch of Jesus

The healing touch of Jesus

In Luke 8:45, a woman in great distress because of an incurable sickness came to Jesus. Jesus KNEW she had reached out to Him, because He felt virtue pass to her. Like her, you are not able to physically touch Jesus, but you can reach out to Him through prayer and worship. Whatever your problem: whether it is sickness, financial or other distress, come to Jesus. And like with that woman, He will turn around and say, “Child of Mine, go in peace, your faith has healed you.”
