Discovering the greatness of God

All my life I've desired to see the greatness of our God. I want to explore His greatness and discover more of His Power. The older I become, the more I understand who God is. For 16 years I was a pastor, but at heart I was an evangelist. Even when I was at school I was evangelising; I led my teacher to Christ, and two of the boys in my class became preachers. ‘For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.’ (Romans 1.16, KJV)

Don’t be discouraged. I want you to get a Vision of what God can do in and through your life! Get into your ‘watchtower’ and pray until God answers you and shows you His Power and His Glory! O Father, open people’s eyes, let them get into that place in the ‘watchtower’ where You answer them when they cry to You, “How long are You silent?” O God, be not silent, but show Your Power and Your Glory! In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

There have been ups and there have been downs in my life, but as the Bible said, "The Lord answered me!" Sometimes in our lives we need the patience to wait for the fulfilment of God’s Promises.

God wants to show His Power in your life! He will use your affliction - that sickness or calamity - and turn it into a demonstration of His Greatness. Regardless of the reasons for our suffering, Jesus has the Power to solve it. Don't be so concerned with the 'Why' in your life, fix your focus on the 'Who' in your life - Jesus!

In the Old Testament there is such a level of faith in the promises of God – strongly revealed right through every part of the Scripture! Read the famous chapter on faith, Hebrews 11, it is referring to the Old Testament, the stories and miracles of the prophets! Look how powerful the miracles in the Old Testament were for those who believed!

Faith ignited by Works

Faith is ignited by Works. In James 2.22-23, we see Abraham combined his faith with what he did: his faith was made perfect, it was imputed to him for righteousness, and he was called the friend of God! Oh, that this might be said about us! “You see,” James says in v24, “by works a man’s faith is demonstrated, and not by faith alone.” Faith HAS to be followed by fact. “For,” v26 “as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is DEAD also.” The ‘works’ are the very spirit that give LIFE to the body of ‘faith’. The Latter Rain of the Spirit - Living in the Greater Works of Jesus

I believe in the Latter Rain of the Spirit - an outpouring where we will do the Greater Works. The prophecies, the Words of Jesus are quite clear, a GREATER outpouring of the Holy Spirit MUST happen in the last days before He comes back (Joel 2.28-29, Acts 2.16-17). Do you see the URGENCY?! I have believed and lived in this experience of a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Look at my ministry – the phenomenal numbers of healings, tens of thousands of healings, incredible miracles that have happened – it’s not me, it’s only what Peter, Joel and Jesus all prophesied would happen. But what I have seen is only a beginning. I am yet believing that this next phase of my ministry will be greater and more powerful than anything that has happened in the past. Don’t rest and say that we cannot see GREATER miracles than Jesus. I am challenging you. If we are to expect to see and do GREATER things than Jesus did (and we MUST expect this), then come on, we at least need to be doing the things that He did – preach the Gospel, heal the sick, with signs following! Whatever you ask in Jesus Name

Whatever you ask in prayer, believe you have received it, and it will be yours! Jesus is teaching us that IF WE BELIEVE in Him, once He has gone back to be with His Father, we then on earth HAVE to carry on the work that He did – we HAVE to do what He did! So many people seem to read John 14 without seemingly being able to believe it. Jesus has commissioned us to do the greater works!
